It’s a shame you’re looking at the web instead of sailing! |

Hurricane Ike is just a memory now……….some good ones and some bad. But as Captain RON would say “… kick the tires, release the dock lines and take the Admiral to sea”. Here is a description of all the activities you can expect this year |

for those Catalina 30 Folks who are almost racers we are having a repeat of the Fleet 10 “can you do it” sail the first Saturday in April, May, July, and September. This adventure will start at Clear Lake Channel Marker #2 at 1:00 p.m. (1300). You figure out what time you have to leave your dock to start at 1:00 p.m. The lap around the course will take 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending upon the Wind Gods and your ability to hold a course. The final objective is to make it to the party.
April Portofino Dock Party (poolside) May Portofino Dock Party (poolside) July Overnight Raft Up and Fireworks September Overnight Houston yacht Club |

As you know, Fleet 10 can’t go a sailing season without making our overnight trips to Double Bayou and Steve’s Landing. Will not happen this year, hurricane Ike blew Steve’s Landing off the Bolivar Peninsula. However we have added other venues for you to participate. April Double Bayou May In/Out Freeport (Memorial Day Week End) June Laguana Harbor (Bolivar) July Raft up and fireworks (Independence Day) September Houston Yacht Club (Labor Day Week End) |

Not to forget about our racing buddies Fleet 10 will have representation in the following races: (1) Man’s Race, overnight to Heald Bank and (2) Gentlemen’s Race, Harvest Moon Regatta. Don’t forget that a lot of people drive to Port A and participate in the big party and awards session. Fleet 10 is well represented with their decorated tables and various assortments of snacks. |
